The British Obesity Society are recruiting trustees for our board.

The BOS, was set up in 2011 and is one of the UK’s leading obesity charities.

2022 see’s the beginning of a new strategic vision for the charity with the exciting appointment of AfN Nutritionist and Nutrition Lecturer Louise Payne, who arrives at the charity as Co-Chairperson, with Paul Evans (previously Vice Chairperson).

The board, headed up by charity President Jane de Ville-Almond, has written their new 2025 strategic vision ‘to create a healthier environment and change the narrative around obesity’ with a number of exciting campaigns planned for the months ahead.

Everyone at BOS are volunteers and all share the same thing - a passion for changing the narrative of obesity! We are proactive within the obesity and media space, are often featured in national media and invited to key events in the sector. Being part of our esteemed charity will offer you valuable experience in the obesity sector whilst also providing you with a platform to build a career within obesity in the UK!

In order to continue to make a positive impact in the obesity space, BOS are recruiting the following volunteer roles to join our charity board. Each role would require at least 20 hours a month of your time. If you feel you can fulfil one of the roles below, or know someone with a passion for obesity in these areas please message us with a bit about you and specifying the role of interest:
